A classic vintage Parker Duofold NS fountain pen in black with gold-coloured trim, dating to approximately the mid-to-late 1940s.
This is the earlier New Style / NS button-filling Duofold, fitted with a 14K gold Parker nib marked “N” and retaining its original button-filling arrangement.
The pen remains in attractive, honest vintage condition and has been dip tested successfully, producing a good writing line.
The black barrel and cap show general age-related surface wear, marks and signs of use consistent with a pen of this age.
There is no major damage visible to the body or cap, and the pen remains a smart and very presentable vintage example.
The barrel carries a period personal inscription:
“Geo S Parker”
The clip remains in very good condition, while the cap band also presents well with only normal age-related wear.

The nib has been dip tested and writes well. A dip test confirms the writing performance of the nib and feed, but does not constitute a full test of the filling mechanism.
This example uses Parker's traditional button-filling system.
The filling button is present beneath the blind cap.
The internal filling system has not been tested or serviced, and the condition of the internal sac is unknown.
It should therefore be assumed that the pen may require servicing or a replacement ink sac before regular filled use.
I have left the pen in its current unrestored condition rather than replacing internal components unnecessarily.
A very attractive post-war Parker Duofold NS retaining its traditional button-filling mechanism, gold nib and period character.
It would suit a Parker collector, vintage pen enthusiast or someone looking for a good candidate for sympathetic servicing and regular use.
The pen has been dip tested and writes well, but the internal filling system remains untested and is sold accordingly.
