This nifty, uncommon cover(has some stains and creases here and there, and tears around its bottom and right side connected to the initial opening of the mail; back flap is 65-70% intact) was sent on May 3, 1882, from West Gardner(2, superb, fancy cancels, especially the shield!), Massachusetts, to a Miss J. E. Wright, Wayne County, New York, via Clyde! The green, 3-Cent "Washington" is in good-very good condition! Noted imperfections aside, this cover remains a neat piece of Massachusetts and New York postal history connected to the use of the unique, West Gardner, Massachusetts, fancy, shield cancel!
