Chatham Harbour Kent Engraving Turner Miller 1827

This is a hand tinted steel engraving printed onto paper and mounted into a modern card mount. The aperture on the mount is approximately 8¼ x 6¼ inches (210x160mm) and the mount itself is approximately 12¼ x 10¼ inches (310x260mm).

It shows a view of the waterfront at Chatham. A small boat with several people aboard is in the foreground, with other vessels including sailing boats and larger ships moored nearby. One of the larger vessels on the left has a crane. The text below the image reads 'chatham'. Further text identifies the artist as 'Drawn by Turner' and the engraver as 'Engraved by W. Miller'. It was 'London, Published 1827, by Charles Tilt, 86, Fleet Street'.
