Summary
A very heavy vintage sterling silver ID bracelet with broad curb links, a thick plain identification panel and a substantial folding box clasp. Weighing 110 grams and fitting wrists up to approximately 20.5 cm, this is an unusually large and heavy example.
Description
A particularly large and heavy vintage sterling silver ID bracelet hallmarked to 1979.
The bracelet is made from broad polished curb links measuring approximately 13.8 mm wide. The central ID panel is plain and unengraved, measuring approximately 50 x 16 mm and around 3.75 mm thick. Its heavy section matches the scale of the links and gives the bracelet a robust appearance.
The clasp is equally substantial, using a heavy folding box mechanism integrated into the bracelet rather than a lighter lobster or trigger clasp. It closes securely and suits the overall construction very well.
At 110 grams, this is a notably heavy sterling silver bracelet. The overall length is approximately 23.7 cm and it fits wrists up to around 20.5 cm, making it suitable for a larger wrist.
The reverse of the ID panel is marked 925. A very small Sheffield import hallmark for 1979 is also present.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with light period surface wear.
The links retain good movement, the ID panel is in good order and the folding box clasp is working correctly.
