Vintage silver-plated cheese scoop or serving utensil, measuring approximately 23cm long.
Features an attractive decorative handle with a beaded border and shell-style detail, together with a distinctive half-moon-shaped scoop for cutting and serving cheese.
Marked to the reverse:
“T. J. Naylor
Church Street
Blackpool”
This appears to be the retailer’s mark. No recognised solid-silver assay hallmarks are visible, so it is being sold as silver plated.
In very good vintage pre-owned condition with a bright polished finish and light surface marks consistent with age and previous use. Please study all photographs for the exact condition.
An unusual piece of vintage serving ware and an interesting item of Blackpool local history.
