Vintage 1930s Art Deco Two-Tone Cigarette Case - Engine Turned Gold & Silver


Beautiful vintage cigarette case from the Art Deco period. High quality engine turned design with ornate engraved border.


Details:

• Era: 1930s Art Deco • Size: Approx 3 1/8" x 2 1/4" x 0.5" (see tape photo) - standard pocket size for 10-12 cigarettes • Front: Two-tone - gold wash bands with silver (white gold) center. Guilloche / engine turned pattern with small rectangular cartouche for monogram - currently blank / faint initial. Ornate laurel / scroll engraved frame. • Back: Gold wash with engine turned stripes • Inside: Full gold wash interior with engine turned swirl pattern. Ornate spring clip to hold cigarettes. Hinge works perfect, snap clasp closes tight. • Material: Unmarked, tested as gold-filled / gold wash over base metal with silver top, typical for Elgin American / Evans style cases of the period. Not solid gold. • Condition: Good vintage condition. Light surface scratches and wear from use, no dents, no monogram engraved. Interior clean. Clasp and hinge work perfectly.
