Estate sale find, I do not have the ability to test this so I took everything apart to show as much details as possible. When I took it apart, I tried rotating the motor with a finger and it moves both ways and the gears and wheels of the locomotive move as they should according to the way the motor is turned.

PLEASE REFER TO THE PICTURES FOR THE ACTUAL CONDITION and to see what parts are missing because it is not 100% complete from what I saw comparing pictures that were 100% complete.
