A stylish most likely American solid sterling silver cigar cutter. It is marked with a PAT number DEC9-02 and STERLING. I would date it to c1902 assuming the last number of the patent is the year. It has been superbly designed and is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures over 2.5 inches (6.5cm) long extended by over 2 inches (5.2cm) push shut by 1 inch (2.6cm) wide and weighs 10 grams. A very nice example.
