The interior label reads “Breeches Corduroy, Women’s Land Army, Size No. 2” with fitting details (height 5’0” to 5’2”, waist 26” to 28”, hips 38” to 40”), the maker “Denham (1933) Ltd.” and the year 1943. The label also carries the War Department broad arrow (↑) mark, confirming government-issue manufacture.

High-waisted jodhpur cut with button waist adjusters at each side, belt loops, and the characteristic full upper leg tapering to a fitted lower leg. Each leg fastens at the calf with leather lacing through the corduroy, with suede reinforcement panels at the inner knee. Button fly.

The corduroy has faded considerably from its original fawn/brown to a soft, uneven pink, and this is a natural ageing of the dye rather than the original colour. The result is unique to this piece.

Condition: honest, worn wartime condition. There is general fading and patina throughout, some staining and marks, and light wear consistent with age and use. Please review all photographs closely, as they show the condition and form part of the description. Sold as seen.
