We are offering "Otona no Kagaku Magazine: Atarashii Hato Dokei" (新しい鳩時計 / "The New Cuckoo Clock"), the latest build-it-yourself science kit magazine from Gakken's long-running "Adult Science" series. This is a DIY build-it-yourself kit — the clock does not come pre-assembled. You'll construct the roughly 50-part mechanism yourself following the full step-by-step guide in the companion magazine. This is the most technically ambitious mechanism the series has ever produced: a fully mechanical singing bird clock where every motion and sound is created by clockwork — no electronics or digital sound involved. Inspired by 18th-century automaton singing birds, this kit lets you assemble your very own working cuckoo clock and even customize its birdsong.
