Fockea edulis, also commonly known as
'Hottentot bread', can reach up to the height of 4 m. The thin vining winter-dormant plant has twisted tuberous roots and stems up to 10 feet long that grow from large up to 2 feet wide. Fockea edulis has its origin in South Africa and belongs to the Apocynaceae family.

These plants bloom in late summer and produce beautiful Greenish-white flowers.
