Vintage Car Badge Bar with Rare Ecurie Culinaire Dorset WDCC Club Enamels Set 4

A scarce and well-composed vintage bumper-mounted badge bar, complete with four original enamel badges, forming a cohesive and highly displayable piece of classic automobilia. Sets such as this capture the spirit of mid-century motoring culture, where badges reflected journeys taken, club affiliations, and a sense of identity on the road. Complete assemblies of this quality, particularly with a strong central badge, are becoming increasingly difficult to source.

The focal point of the set is the rare and sought-after Ecurie Culinaire badge. Finished in rich green enamel with a checkered flag and gilded boar’s head, it represents an exclusive motoring and dining society and is seldom encountered on the open market. It provides both visual impact and collector appeal, anchoring the set.

Alongside sits the Order of the Road 6 Year Driver badge, a distinctive red Maltese cross with central “OR” monogram and original “6 Year” suspension bar. These were awarded for sustained safe driving in post-war Britain and remain highly collectable, particularly when complete as found here.

The grouping is completed by two regionally evocative badges. The West Hants & Dorset Car Club (W.H. & D.C.C.) badge features a detailed relief of an early motor car, reflecting the vibrant local motoring scene of the period.
