Edwardian White Cotton Batiste Lawn Limerick Lace Ruffle Trim Girls Dress

This antique Edwardian era white cotton batiste lawn Limerick lace ruffle trim girls dress dates from 1910. It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste fine lawn fabric with pintuck pleated details on the top and Limerick style needle lace net trim inserts. This lovely lace lawn girls dress has a short skirt, layered ruffle flounce trim over the shoulders, high neck collar, long sleeves, mother of pearl button closures down the back and is sheer, unlined. The dress is a youth small size measuring 34 inches long, with a 32 inch chest, 24 inch waist, 36 inch hips, 13 inch long sleeves, a 12 inch back and 14 inch neck. It is in good condition, with several small frayed breaks in the lace and tiny pin holes on the cotton fabric (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
