Antique condition with visible age-related wear.
The decorative front cover and spine remain very attractive with strong gilt detailing, although there is rubbing, fading and wear around the edges and corners.
The gilt page edges remain bright and decorative.
There is foxing and spotting to some pages, including the title page and portrait.
Please note: the inner hinge/endpaper area has split and the binding material is exposed, as clearly shown in the photographs. The book should therefore be handled with care.
There is additional general shelf wear and age-related marking consistent with a book dating from 1890.
Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
A beautiful decorative Victorian poetry volume despite the binding wear, ideal for an antique book collection or display.
