Vintage Ampex Collector’s Library magnetic recording tape on a 7-inch reel, complete with its original Ampex storage box.

The tape is wound on a clear Scotch Brand Magnetic Tape reel manufactured by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (3M), St. Paul, Minnesota. The original Ampex Collector’s Library box features the classic green and cream design and a blank recording index on the back.

This reel came from a storage auction collection previously owned by a serious classical music enthusiast. The tape has not been played or tested, so its contents, recording quality, and overall functionality are unknown.
