A smart and practical mid-century folding button hook, featuring a solid silver blade and fittings with a mother-of-pearl handle. The piece is fully hallmarked for C W Fletcher & Son Ltd, assayed in Sheffield with date letter for 1951. The silver hook folds neatly into the handle, making it compact and safe to carry or store.
The handle is made from polished mother-of-pearl, showing a soft lustre with natural variation typical of the material. It is secured with three small rivets. The silver hook is well-shaped and retains a good shine, with clear hallmarks visible on the shank.
