A rare antique childs earthenware toy tea set made by W T Copeland & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent. Blue Lily transferware pattern on white background (later known as Fleur de Lys). Consists of 18 pieces:
Teapot height 10 cm
Lidded sugar bowl height 8.5 cm
Milk jug height 6 cm
Slop bowl diameter 10.5 cm x height 6 cm
6 x cups height 4.5 cm
6 x saucers diameter 11.5 cm
2 x cake plates 14 cm x 12.5 cm
Overall in good antique condition with no cracks or repairs although there are a couple of firing faults and some minor chips on the rim of one of the cups. Another cup has some nibbles on the rim and tip of handle. A third cup has one tiny chip on the rim. One plate has a small chip underneath. The teapot has a printed Copeland Late Spode sailing boat trademark with its registration number 180288. The plates have an impressed Copeland with a crown stamp . The saucers have an impressed Copeland stamp. The cups, sugar bowl, jug and slop bowl are unmarked.
