This is a superb metal waterline model of P&O LINE CRUISE SHIP - 'MV AURORA'.
Model has been part of my extensive nautical collection since being purchased new in Germany - the land
of Mercator the model manufacturer and indeed AURORA’s homeland. Been kept in a sealed display
cabinet, she is a delightful model and typical of German makers in its lovely detail.
This is a very rare chance to obtain such a classy model. Only selling as Port Kamares is struggling for
berths and so on Aurora must sail.
Built by Meyer Werft, the Aurora is a cruise ship of the P&O Cruises fleet and entered service with the company in 2000 She
was named by Princes Anne and is the smallest and oldest of seven ships currently in service with P&O Cruises and following
several refits in her sailing life is still an appreciated part of the P&O set up. She is much photographed having spent Covid lockdown
moored off Bournemouth in full view from the front.
