How to check if the air suspension needs to be replaced?
Abnormal Sounds - When the air suspension strut is damaged,it will give out an abnormal sound.
Poor Handling Stability - When the car passes over a rough road ,it bumps and cannot keep steady.
Air Leakage - Leaking air,seal gasket failed.
Car Body Slant - Under the condition of poor road (Bumpy Road),the body will collapse.
Irregular Tire Wear - The air suspension sturt needs to be replaced if tyre surface has uneven wear marks.
Over Bend - When you turn to brakes,tilt faster and the steering wheel will fail.
How to replace the air suspension?
Please note before replacement:
To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to disconnect your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
Step1. Set steering to straight ahead.
Step2. Lift vehicle and remove rear wheel.
Step3. Locate and remove the air line to deflate the air shock. Turn the metal clip approx 90°to remove the air line fitting from the air shock.
Step4. Locate and remove the electrical connector from the top of the air shock.
Step5. Loosen and remove the upper and lower shock mounting nuts.
Step6. Support the axle to relieve pressure from the air shock's mounting points. Remove the upper and lower air shock mounting bolts.
Step7. Remove the air shock from the vehicle.
Step8. Removal complete.
