Note !! The German word *Umsiedlung* (Resettlement) was a euphemism for deportations. Since this photo was taken in Kyiv in 1941 and it looks like autumn, it is highly likely that this is a very historic photograph! It was at this time—specifically in September 1941—that the historically well-known massacre of Jews took place at Babi Yar.
