60MHz Passive Oscilloscope Probe for Electronics Testing
The ZOYI P2060 is a
60MHz passive oscilloscope probe
with switchable 1X / 10X attenuation,
designed for waveform measurement, electronics troubleshooting,
circuit development and laboratory testing.
A standard BNC connector makes the P2060
compatible with many digital and analogue oscilloscopes
using a conventional 1MΩ BNC input.
The probe includes an adjustable compensation trimmer,
removable hook tip and ground connection accessories,
allowing it to be matched correctly to the oscilloscope
input for improved square-wave response and waveform accuracy.
It is suitable for general-purpose measurements including
PCB diagnostics, microcontroller circuits, PWM signals,
audio electronics, power-supply troubleshooting,
educational experiments and repair work.
Switchable 1X / 10X Attenuation

① 1X Mode
Provides maximum signal sensitivity for lower-voltage
measurements. The probe presents approximately
1MΩ input resistance when used with a compatible
1MΩ oscilloscope input.

② 10X Mode
Attenuates the measured signal by a factor of ten,
increases effective input resistance to approximately
10MΩ and reduces loading on many electronic circuits.

Important:
When the physical probe switch is set to 10X,
set the oscilloscope channel's probe attenuation setting
to 10X as well.
If the probe and oscilloscope attenuation settings do not match,
displayed voltage measurements can be incorrect by a factor of ten.

Adjustable Probe Compensation
Passive 10X oscilloscope probes should be compensated
to match the oscilloscope input before accurate waveform
measurements are made.
Connect the probe to the oscilloscope's calibration /
compensation square-wave output and adjust the compensation
trimmer until the displayed square wave has a flat top
without excessive rounding or overshoot.

Important:
The safe measurement voltage is limited by the
lowest-rated component in the complete
measurement system.
The oscilloscope, probe, accessories and circuit connection
must all be suitable for the voltage and measurement category involved.
Never exceed the voltage rating printed on the
actual probe supplied or the input rating
of the connected oscilloscope.
Standard BNC Oscilloscope Connection
The P2060 uses a conventional male BNC connector and is
intended for oscilloscopes with a standard BNC channel input.
It can be used with many compatible digital storage
oscilloscopes, analogue oscilloscopes and oscilloscope
multimeters that provide a conventional BNC input.
Compatibility:
For correct attenuation and compensation, the connected
oscilloscope should provide a suitable
1MΩ input and compatible input capacitance.

Always check the oscilloscope's bandwidth, input impedance,
probe attenuation and maximum input-voltage specifications
before use.
Ground Connection & High-Frequency Measurement
Probe grounding can have a significant effect on waveform
quality, particularly when measuring fast digital signals
and higher-frequency circuits.
- Connect the probe ground only to the correct circuit reference point
- Use the shortest practical ground connection for high-frequency measurements
- Long ground leads can introduce inductance, ringing and waveform distortion
- Keep the probe cable away from strong electromagnetic interference where possible
Grounding Warning:
On many mains-powered bench oscilloscopes, the BNC outer
shell and probe ground clip are connected to protective earth.
Never attach the probe ground clip to an unknown live
potential. Incorrect grounding can create a short circuit
and may cause equipment damage, electric shock or serious injury.

Important Safety Information

ground lead for damage before use.
Match the physical 1X / 10X probe setting
with the attenuation setting selected on the oscilloscope.
Never exceed the input voltage rating marked on the probe
or the maximum input voltage of the connected oscilloscope.
The maximum safe voltage of the complete test setup is
determined by its lowest-rated component.
Remember that the probe ground lead may be connected to
protective earth through a mains-powered oscilloscope.
Do not connect the ground clip to a live mains conductor
or other unknown electrical potential.
