Wood-Carved Bear Wall Art/Object by Kōhō (Kōhō Mizukami)

This is a wood-carved wall piece depicting a bear's head, created by the wood sculptor Kōhō (Kōhō Mizukami). Kōhō is a prominent artist (master) of "Inami Carving" (Inami Chōkoku), a traditional craft that flourished primarily in the Inami district of Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.

There are traces of repair in some areas—likely due to cracking in the wood during the creation process—but I hope you will view this as part of the piece's unique character. There are no other noticeable scratches or damage. The dimensions are approximately 27 cm (10.6 inches) in height and 22 cm (8.7 inches) in width.
