Vintage Whiting & Davis Style Silver Metal Mesh Rings Chainmail Scottie Dog Purse

This vintage Whiting & Davis style silver metal mesh rings chainmail Scottie dog purse dates from the 1920s. It is hand joined made of silver tone metal mesh rings chain mail links. This marvelous mesh bag purse has a unique squared shape hinged folding silver metal frame with floral engraved embossed decorative designs, a 3D silver metal cute Scottie dog lever clasp closure on the top with a silver chain link strap for carrying, a scalloped mesh fringe bottom, is sheer unlined and unmarked not signed, but is done in The Whiting & Davis Company metal mesh bag style. The purse measures 4 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and has a 9 inch around chain. It is in good as-is condition, with some faint tarnish discoloration and several small breaks tiny holes in the metal mesh chain mail links (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of Whiting & Davis metal meshwork inspired wearable purse art!
