Antique & Vintage Photographs

This is an albumen photograph that is mounted into a photo album page and is 7¾ x 6 inches (195x150mm).

It shows a studio portrait of a young man seated in a chair with studded upholstery. He is wearing a dark jacket with lighter trim, a waistcoat, and a patterned cravat. A draped curtain hangs on the left side of the composition. Handwritten text below the image reads 'E. J. E. Wyndham. Septr 1866'.

There was a note that came with this and the other similar images that I have listed, suggesting that the portraits could have been taken by Hoppe and they were also part of the Sir Benjamin Stone Collection that is held in Birmingham Library. I have not been able to verify any of these details.
