This part is not suitable for Ford Transit Connect, Transit Courier or earlier Transit generations unless the original part number matches exactly.
Function and Diagnosis
The transceiver antenna reads the coded transponder chip inside the ignition key and passes the signal to the vehicle’s PATS immobiliser system.
Possible symptoms of a faulty transceiver may include:
Immobiliser warning light flashing
Vehicle not recognising the ignition key
Engine cranking but not being authorised to start
Intermittent non-start condition
PATS or transceiver-related diagnostic fault codes
These symptoms can also be caused by a damaged key transponder, wiring or connector faults, ignition switch problems, BCM/PCM faults or other immobiliser-system issues. Proper diagnosis should therefore be completed before replacing the component.

This listing is for the transceiver antenna only. An ignition key is not included.
The part does not replace or automatically program a lost or unprogrammed key. Existing key programming and any required PATS diagnostic procedures remain vehicle-specific.
Diagnostic configuration, fault-code clearing or a PATS relearn may be required depending on the vehicle and the original fault.

This item is an immobiliser key transceiver fitted around the ignition barrel.
It is not a steering-angle sensor, airbag clock spring, steering-wheel control module or ignition key.

The vehicle battery and steering-column components should be handled according to the manufacturer’s workshop procedures.
