A nice quality interesting early Victorian fork. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1838, note the assay office is still using the Kings Head duty mark although Queen Victoria was now on the thrown. It has a bone handle bearing the crest of what I think is the Holmes Family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, just one tine is a little worn. It measures 6.25 inches (16cm) long and weighs 23 grams. A nice quality example.
