Leica M3 Black Paint + Leicameter

Original Leica Leitz Wetzlar M3 Black Paint Camera Year 1963 + Leicameter MR BP
Cosmetic Condition:
* Small bump on the side of the rewind lever.
* Patina , and marks on the paint as seen in the pictures.
* Leather it’s original and 95% complete I would say.
Mechanical Condition
* Speeds are working correctly.
* Leicameter MR works accurately.
* Recently serviced.
* Curtains are in good working condition, although not mint, as is common with used M3 cameras.
* The camera still retained the original “L” seal before speed and curtain adjustments.
Optics
* Finder is in good condition with strong contrast in the focusing patch.
Additional Information
The CLA was kept minimal due to the scarcity of original parts and the lack of highly qualified specialists available for these cameras in my Country. The camera was carefully brought back into proper working condition, although it may still benefit from a more specialized CLA in the future to reach it’s full potential/
I intentionally avoided replacing or modifying components in order to preserve the camera as original as possible.
This camera originally belonged to a photojournalist from Buenos Aires and has reportedly seen no real use for many years, likely since the early 2000s.
Bottom base plate was bought recently from respected ebay seller , that stated the part was NOS and bought from an original leica retailer in Canada that closed years ago. This camera was acquired along with a leicavit MP originally so it lacked the bottom plate.
Due to the value and rarity of this item, sale conditions must be discussed before hand in order to reach an agreement.
