Vintage dimensional butterfly brooch crafted with elaborate openwork filigree and marked “800” on the reverse pin bar. The butterfly features multiple raised and layered wing sections made from fine twisted and coiled wire, scalloped borders, applied silver-tone filigree beads, curved antennae, and a textured three-dimensional body.
The brooch retains areas of its original warm gold-colored wash, creating a two-tone appearance against the naturally darkened silver and silver-tone accents. Its sculptural construction allows the wings to rise above the pin bar rather than lying completely flat.
The reverse is fitted with a long pin stem and tubular-style catch. This is an intricately constructed vintage jewelry piece suitable for butterfly collectors, filigree jewelry collections, or display.

Condition:
Vintage pre-owned condition with substantial age-related patina, oxidation, tarnish, and uneven darkening throughout. The gold-colored wash has worn considerably in areas, revealing the underlying silver-colored metal and producing a naturally aged two-tone appearance. Fine filigree wires show some bending, unevenness, minor separations, and possible old solder or repair areas consistent with the delicate construction and age. The long pin stem is visibly curved. The pin and catch are present and shown both open and closed in the photographs. Hallmark is worn but appears to read “800.” No polishing or restoration has been performed. Please examine all enlarged photographs for the exact condition.
