Description
This Royal Worcester vase is divided into four panels with an antique gold finish to the moulded detail, each enclosing finely hand painted fruit and foliage. One panel features a detailed study of blackberries and autumn leaves, while the remaining panels display complementary botanical decoration. The work is signed by Kitty Blake, one of Royal Worcester's recognised fruit painters.
Royal Worcester became internationally respected for its hand painted fruit studies during the twentieth century. Artists such as Kitty Blake produced individually decorated cabinet pieces, combining finely observed botanical subjects with elegant porcelain forms and richly gilded finishes.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with light wear to the gilt around the rim. No other issues of note.
