A lovely pair of sauce boats by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. of Hatton Garden in London. 

Still a very useful item for the table for various gravies and sauces and can be used for most dining occasions.

Both matching pieces with a gadroon edging around the lip of the boat and with cast applied shell pattern feet, nicely scrolled handle.

Clear hallmarks to the base of each with one being for 1938 and the second dated 1939. Probably both purchased at the same time from stock in a jewellers and put together as a pair.

No engravings.

Nice and shiny with just a few slight scuffs and marks mostly inside the bottom of the bowls.

Measuring about 5 inches long and just under 3 inches high. Combined weight of 203 grams.
