A net Good 1st edition 1909 copy of this popular title which includes some of the earliest astronomy photography. It was ten years after this book that Eddington took the conclusive photos to verify General Relativity and that was considered a tough task even in 1919. The book is popular for having a dozen (ish) very early plates.
The book has covers which look typical of a Good book. Some color fading and wear. Corners are nice for the grade and the spine has some fray at top and bottom. The hinges and binding are not cracked but both are a little tired as they say. A nice rarity and pretty textbook Good copy with a mark free interior except for a signature on the inside cover.
