Beautiful Antique Victorian Leather Sewing Case – 1860-1890

Elegant oval Victorian-era sewing kit (also called a needle case or work box), likely of French or English origin. These luxurious small cases were popular among ladies of the upper class during the second half of the 19th century.

The case is made of quality leather with a beautiful warm patina. Inside it still contains the original silver bodkin (stiletto) stamped with the letter “B”.

Details:

Despite the age-related wear to the lining, the box remains structurally sound, closes nicely, and displays beautifully. A charming piece of Victorian sewing history with great collector appeal.

Perfect for your antique sewing collection, display in a Victorian cabinet, or as a unique decorative object.
