Made between 1925
and 1927
This has the
original zinc chrome finish on it. This is made of iron. The red paint is gone. Own a piece of the
very earliest Coke openers.
The number on the back is the mold number it was made in.
No cracks, no damage
and no flaws.
It had 100 years of
house paint on it so I boiled it in water and baking soda to remove it, but it
also removed the red lettering.
Only wear is on the
surface where the bottles were opened.

stamped with "Made in Germany" or "West Germany".

How to Check
Authenticity
- Material: Authentic vintage Starr "X" openers are made of heavy-duty
cast iron. They should have some weight to them, whereas cheap modern
replicas are often lightweight aluminum or pot metal.
Logo Detailing: The "Drink
Coca-Cola" text can be either raised (embossed), engraved (debossed), or
flat on the metal surface
