New Zealand provenance. Maori Marae circa 1950's possibly Rotorua, North Island ( I have been enlightened by another Ebayer..Thank you).

Colour: Natural brown wood.
Condition: Very nice original condition. No defects with even age related wear. Internal storage area shows some age related (Pen & Pencil) marks as seen in the photos. Could be cleaned / restored further.
