This is a vintage Savinelli Oscar, shape 110, made in Italy from aged briar. This pipe is representative of early Savinelli production, when the company emphasized traditional drilling, conservative shaping and durable briar intended for long-term daily smoking.
The pipe is stamped Oscar, Aged Briar, 110, and Italy on the shank. It is a no-filter pipe and fitted with a vulcanite stem bearing the star logo, a feature associated with earlier Savinelli Oscar pipes and largely phased out before later branding and filter standardization. Based on the combination of the star stem logo and the style and layout of the shank stampings, this pipe date to Savinelli’s earlier postwar production, circa 1950s–1960s.

- Briar is intact with no cracks or burnouts. Bowl with minimal cake
- Rim shows heavy tarring and excessive reaming at parts
- Stem shows oxidation, especially in the saddle area, consistent with age. It has teeth marks on both sides (please check relevant photos)
- Stampings remain clear and legible
This pipe has not been cleaned or restored, making it a good candidate for an estate refresh or for collectors who prefer original condition.
