This is a beautiful, substantial hand-thrown studio pottery plate by ceramic artist Tom Thompson.

This collectible piece features a gorgeous, fluid cobalt blue brushwork design mimicking Asian calligraphic characters and abstract waves, framing a clean cream-colored center.

The rim is deliberately styled with a wavy, irregular edge to showcase its unique, handcrafted origin.

Condition Details:

Top Glaze / Front Face: In perfect shape. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, hairlines. It does have light gray markings from silverware. The glazed surface remains completely smooth, bright, and glossy.

• Bottom / Base: Shows some natural cosmetic browning, firing discoloration, and minor shelf-wear on the unglazed stoneware base ring (highly visible in the pictures). This is a completely normal byproduct of the artisan kiln-firing process and does not affect the display quality or structural integrity of the piece.
