Wonderful set of 4 original brass rubbings.
Hand done rubbings taken in the early 1970s, these depict Medieval nobility (Sir Ralph Verney, Lady Elizabath Verney, Thomas Peyton and Margaret Bernard Peyton) from ancient monuments in St Andrew's Church in Isleham, Cambridgeshire, England dating back to the 1400's.
Black paper with rubbings done in a specialized hard metallic wax called 'heelball'.
Each measures 15 x 33 inches.
Condition: wonderful, crisp lines with high level of detail. Tiny tear in edge of one.
