A very pretty English solid sterling silver dish. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1962 with the makers mark being that of Charles De Boer of Liverpool and Warrington. It has an unusual hand plannished design engraved with the coat of arms used by the Worshipful Guild of Farriers and Fountains Abbey (maybe it was made as a souvenir paten). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.2cm) across and weighs 30 grams. A very pretty unusual piece.
