This listing is for a MTH Rail King Santa Fe F-3 Diesel Engine with ProtoSound!
This great looking diesel features an Intricately Detailed ABS Body, Authentic Santa Fe "Warbonnet" Colors and Markings, Operating Headlight, Illuminated Cab, (2) Precision Flywheel Equipped Motor's, Metal Chassis, Metal Wheels, Metal Axles, Metal Gears and Die-Cast Metal Trucks.
It has a PROTO-COUPLER on the front and a regular coupler on the back.
Some of the ProtoSounds are Horn, Bell, Diesel Engine and authentic PASSENGER STATION SOUNDS!
I do not know the MTH item number as it did not have a box when I received it.
It has a 4-pin tether tucked inside the shell which suggests to me it was from an AA or ABA set. It features an early ProtoSound system. These systems have always been difficult for me to operate the effects. It comes with an instruction manual I had from a similar RTR set but I would not suggest you purchase this engine unless you are familiar with the early Protosound engines and how to operate them.

THIS ENGINE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!
I TESTED IT AND IT RUNS GREAT FORWARD, NEUTRAL AND REVERSE. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE PASSENGER STATION ANNOUNCEMENTS TO PLAY BUT THAT WAS ALL I COULD TEST AS FAR AS THE EFFECTS.
