Yugoslavia 5,000,000,000 Dinara Banknote (P-135) | 1993 | aUNC
This 5,000,000,000 (5 Billion) Dinara banknote (Pick P-135) was issued in late 1993 during Yugoslavia’s historic hyperinflation crisis. As the value of the dinar rapidly declined, increasingly larger denominations were introduced, culminating in some of the highest face values ever printed for circulation. The note features celebrated Serbian poet, painter, and dramatist Đura Jakšić on the obverse, while the reverse depicts a monument honoring his cultural legacy. Today, these hyperinflation notes are popular collectibles that illustrate one of the most dramatic monetary collapses of the twentieth century.
Condition
This note is offered in almost Uncirculated (aUNC) condition. The serial number and prefix may differ from the example shown, but all notes are genuine Pick 135 issues. Some notes may display minor handling marks consistent with long-term storage.
