Made by a very well known manufacturer and retailer at the turn of the 1900's and employing about 600 people at the outbreak of WW1 in 1914. Still manufacturing until the 1940's and the outbreak of WW2.

This pair of Silver Plated sauce boats are marked with the name The Alexander Clark Company Ltd. which was their trademark from 1912 -1940 which dates these sauce boats within that period.

Made from their quality Welbeck Plate which has stood the test of time very well. Both sauce boats with applied cast acanthus leaf handles and classic claw style feet.

All four pieces have light scuffs and marks especially inside the bowls of the sauce boats and to the bases of the under plates other wise still very shiny and presentable with no large dings or dents only usage marks. Please see images.

Each sauce boat holds about 1/4 pint of liquid.

Each sauce boat measures about 5 1/2 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide and stands 3 inches to the top of the handle. The under plates measure 7 inches long by 5 inches wide.
