Original Columbia Model 109A portable wind-up gramophone housed in a classic suitcase-style case with carry handle and metal corner protectors. A wonderful early 20th-century mechanical phonograph ideal for collectors, display, restoration, or period interiors.

Condition:

The gramophone winds fully as it should.

Platter spins, however there is a noticeable grinding/rubbing noise during operation.

When the soundbox is placed onto a record, the platter slows and eventually stops.

Requires servicing/adjustment before proper playback use.

Soundbox and tonearm are present.

Good original cosmetic condition for age with wear, scratches, marks, and age-related patina throughout.

Case exterior shows expected scuffs and handling wear.
