Rare and highly collectible vintage Swiss manual wind wristwatch signed THE MAPPIN, dating to approximately 1948–1952.

This watch features an exceptionally attractive early post-war mid-century modern design with mixed Roman numerals, applied gold-tone markers, elegant dauphine-style hands, and a striking red center seconds hand. The original dial is signed “Suiza,” indicating production for the Spanish-speaking export market, most likely for Latin America or Spain.

The watch is powered by its original Swiss-made 18 jewel manual wind mechanical movement. The movement appears clean and well preserved, and the watch is currently running well.

Housed in a stainless steel case measuring approximately 33.7 mm excluding crown, giving the watch an excellent vintage wrist presence while retaining classic early 1950s proportions.

The dial retains honest vintage patina with visible age-related wear and spotting, particularly around the center and lower dial area, adding authentic character consistent with age. The case shows normal vintage wear and light scratches.
