This is an absolutely beautiful hand carved wooden owl. He stands 5 inches tall, but excellent detail to the feathers and the talons. He also has what I believe to be our glass eyes. The hinge has come loose in the back, but could be repaired. There is no insert for the ink, and there is a small chip in the wood on the front. None of these things take away from what a striking piece. This is the surface has an incredible patina from years of handling and use this little guy will stand out wherever you put him.
