Large, antique, petite sonnerie, alarm carriage clock in overall good used condition, sold for restoration. The brass case is in nice condition but the top bit of the decorative moulding on the back right corner is a bit out of shape and needs straightening, it can be seen in the pictures, there is a minute chip in the top left corner of the left side glass panel which can barely be seen but otherwise the glass is all good. The movement has no visible makers name but there may be one internally, when I received the clock it was striking and repeating but I have now come to list it and it is not striking at all, I cant imagine there is much wrong with it as it was functioning a few days ago but was out of sequence. The hammers have been repaired at some stage and are catching on each other so will need adjusting, both springs are wound, the platform appears to be original and the balance wheel spins for around 15 to 20 seconds but stops, the spring for the alarm just turns when wound. It measures, 8 inches high to the top of the handle, 3 1/2 inches deep and 4 inches wide, obviously it requires work but it is a nice example of a quite rare clock with great potential. It is available for collection from Doncaster or I will post worldwide, UK postage is £4, worldwide tracked postage is £28, any excess postage will be refunded. Any questions please ask.
