This is an Edo period menuki set featuring a powerful rain dragon design.
The dragons are rendered with delicate yet forceful workmanship, creating an impressive and highly dynamic appearance. The vivid gold iroe beautifully contrasts against the shakudo ground, giving the pieces strong visual appeal when mounted.
Based on the workmanship and style, these menuki are considered to be fine works in the tradition of the Goto school, although unsigned. Please refer to the photos for further details.
