Vintage Native American JRF Silver Turquoise Standing Liberty Coin Squash Blossom Necklace
This vintage Native American JRF Navajo silver turquoise standing Liberty coin squash blossom necklace dates from the 1930s. It is made of a hand crafted unmarked silver, with hand cut silver work framing the cabochon setting turquoise veined stone, with hand stamped decorative designs, punchwork raised bead details on the sandcast naja a traditional crescent shaped pendant and 12 standing Liberty quarters dating from 1926 to 1928. This Native American Indian Navajo squash blossom necklace has wonderful workmanship, craftsmanship, silver work details and is artist signed JRF engraved on the back pendant by Jim Urban "Chief Red Feather" Brady. The necklace has a double strand of hand soldered Sterling silver beads with spacers, a hook clasp closure on the back and measures 27 inches around the neck, with a 3 1/2 inch long pendant drop down the front. It is in good condition, with some wear to the coins, faint scratches and slight tarnish discoloration (see close-ups).
