The Blackhawks opened the scoring in the second period with a goal from Jonathan Toews at 6:40, assisted by Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa. The Lightning responded with a goal from Alex Killorn at 11:47, assisted by Valtteri Filppula and Steven Stamkos. The decisive goal came in the third period at 6:22, when Brandon Saad scored, assisted by Patrick Kane.
