1993 King B – Ken Griffey Jr. #2 Disc – PSA Mint 9 – Seattle Mariners

Back in the late 80s, a beef jerky company called King B started tucking collectible discs inside their snack packaging. MLBPA licensed, officially produced, and completely unlike anything else in the hobby. They ran the promotion every year through the mid 90s and this is the Sixth Annual Collectors Edition from 1993, card #2 of 24, featuring Junior in his prime Mariners years.

The circular format is what makes these so fun to collect and so tricky to grade. No corners to worry about, but PSA scrutinizes surface condition and print quality hard on these. Getting a PSA 9 out of a disc that was packed inside a bag of meat snacks over 30 years ago is genuinely impressive. This one held up.

Clean graded copies of the Griffey King B don't come around often. It's the kind of card that gets a second look from anyone who sees it in a collection, whether they collect Griffey or not. Conversation piece and a legit piece of hobby history all in one.
