About Dentsply SDR Plus Flowable Bulk Fill

Dentsply SDR Flowable Bulk Filling Material is a one-component, fluoride-containing, visible light cured, radiopaque resin composite restorative material designed to be used as a base in Class I and II restorations. SDR material has handling characteristics typical of a "flowable" composite but can be placed in 4mm increments with minimal polymerization stress.

SDR material has a self-leveling feature that allows intimate adaptation to the prepared cavity walls. Available in one universal shade, it is designed to be overlaid with a methacrylate-based universal or posterior composite for replacing missing occlusal or facial enamel.

Features
Universal Shade
Available in one universal shade, eliminating shade selection and simplifying the restorative process.
Visible Light Cured
Cured using visible light for precise control, ensuring thorough polymerization and reliable hardness.
Enhanced Adaptation
Self-leveling characteristic enables intimate adaptation to cavity walls, reducing microleakage risk.
Easy Overlay
Designed to be overlaid with a methacrylate-based composite for seamless, esthetic integration.
High Radiopacity
High radiopacity aids accurate diagnosis and assessment of the restoration on dental radiographs.
Direct Restoration Compatible
Used as a base in Class I and II direct restorations, providing a stable composite foundation.
Liner Application
Can be used as a liner under direct restoratives, particularly as a Class II box liner.
Reduced Treatment Time
4mm bulk increments with self-leveling properties enable faster, more efficient restorative procedures.

Directions for use
1
Cavity preparation
Prepare the Class I or Class II cavity according to standard protocols, ensuring proper removal of carious or damaged tooth structure. Clean and dry the prepared cavity.
2
Placement of SDR material
Dispense the SDR material directly into the prepared cavity or onto a mixing pad. Use a suitable placement instrument, allowing the material's self-leveling properties to cover the floor and walls of the cavity.
3
Increment thickness
SDR material can be placed in increments of up to 4mm. Ensure each increment is adequately adapted and contoured before placing the next increment.
4
Light curing
Ensure all areas of the material receive adequate light exposure for proper polymerization.
5
Finishing and polishing
After complete curing of the SDR material, finish and polish the restoration as necessary to achieve the desired anatomical contour and smooth surface.
6
Overlay with universal/posterior composite
If desired, overlay the SDR material with a methacrylate-based universal or posterior composite to replace missing occlusal or facial enamel, following the overlay manufacturer's instructions.
7
Final check and adjustments
Verify occlusion, proximal contacts, and overall restoration integrity. Make any necessary adjustments as required.
Safety & handling guidelines
Professional use only
For use by a licensed dental professional as part of standard restorative protocols.
Contraindication
Contraindicated for use with patients who have a history of severe allergic reactions to methacrylate resins.
Complete light exposure
Ensure every area of each increment receives adequate curing light exposure for full polymerization.
Storage
Store compules in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
